Wyatt Banker-Hix, P.E.PresidentWyatt is a San Luis Obispo native who graduated from Cal Poly with his Bachelor's and Master's in 2014. He now works at the City of San Luis Obispo as a transportation engineer. Wyatt has experience in a variety of civil and structural projects but now focuses on local transportation design. Wyatt has also taught the concrete materials class at Cal Poly as a graduate student and re-connected with ASCE through his former students. Outside of work, he enjoys volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America, being outdoors , and working endlessly on his Paso Robles home.

Gabriel Munoz-Morris, P.E.President - ElectGabriel is the Senior Engineer for the City of Grover Beach Public Works Department. Gabriel was raised in Atascadero where he lived until he went to college. He graduated from UC Irvine with his BS in Civil Engineering in 2014. He also graduated from CSULB with his MPA in 2021. Gabriel has experience in the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of public infrastructure. At the City, Gabriel works on a variety of projects including parks, streets, water, wastewater, stormwater, and facilities. Gabriel lives in San Luis Obispo with his wife and two dogs. He loves soccer, hiking, surfing, spending time with his family, staying active, and traveling.

Samuel Petersen, E.I.T.Vice PresidentSamuel is an Assistant Engineering Designer at Rick Engineering in San Luis Obispo. Sam grew up in Arroyo Grande, and was introduced to hydraulics, water treatment, and civil engineering in high school. After graduating high school, he moved to Provo, Utah and attended Brigham Young University. He graduated from BYU in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Since graduating college, Sam moved back to the central coast and started working at Rick. In his free time, Sam enjoys spending time with his baby girl and wife, hiking, and playing racquet sports.

Wen Sullivan, P.E.TreasurerWen is an Associate Engineer at Wallace Group. She grew up in Oakland, California and found her interest in engineering while attending Julia Morgan School for girls. Wen continued exploring engineering at Oakland Technical High School and eventually Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she received her Master's Degree in Civil Engineering in 2020. While at Cal Poly, Wen was actively involved with the Cal Poly Society of Civil Engineers Club and was the club President for the 2018-2019 year. Wen is an adrenaline junkie and took up skydiving in her free time. She also enjoys surfing, cooking fun dishes, and being overly obsessed with her two cats.

Claire Hoffmann, E.I.T.Historian and Social Media CoordinatorClaire Hoffmann is an Assistant Engineering Designer at Rick Engineering, who graduated from Cal Poly in 2021. She grew up in Sacramento and developed an interest in Civil Engineering growing up around job sites in her father’s Construction Company. She is an avid houseplant parent, loves curling up with a good book at home or in a hammock at Avila, as well as taking hikes in the numerous trials SLO provides.

Jamie Ross, P.E.WebmasterJamie is a Project Geotechnical Engineer at Yeh and Associates, Inc., in Grover Beach. She is a Central Coast native and graduated from Cal Poly in 2016 with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and in 2017 with a Master's Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering (Geotechnical Specialization). Jamie has experience in the geotechnical analysis and design for various projects for local, state, and federal agencies including bridge foundation design, slope stability and landslide mitigation, and retaining wall design. In her spare time, Jamie enjoys surfing, trailrunning/hiking, mountainbiking, swimming, baking, painting, and playing musical instruments.

Zach Caipang, E.I.T.Member at LargeZach is an Associate Engineer for Wallace Group. He grew up in Oxnard, California and lived there his whole life until college. Zach attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he got his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering in 2020. After college, he worked in construction management in San Bernadino for a year before eventually returning to the beautiful Central Coast. Now he mostly works in transportation design. Zach was a Junior Olympic swimmer in his younger days and can sometimes be seen swimming laps at his local pool. He also loves running, paddleboarding, watching hockey, and summiting high elevation peaks.
