PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Hello everyone! I am excited for this opportunity to serve you as the President of the Younger Members Forum here in the San Luis Obispo Branch of ASCE. Growing up here on the Central Coast, I was able to see the expansion of our small community to our thriving county that we have now. As we continue to grow, opportunities for younger members of this fine profession become easier to find. This year, I hope to help younger engineers in our surrounding area to find better connections, better opportunities to be exposed to different kinds of engineering, and to develop the bonds that will help form mentorships and friendships that go beyond the work force. I hope to give back to our community through service, community outreach efforts, and a strong connection to the other local organizations, such as the Society of Civil Engineers, the American Council of Engineering Companies, and the San Luis Obispo Branch of ASCE. I am grateful to each of the volunteers who form the YMF Board for the service and time that they give. The work that they provide allows us to benefit from the events and educational events that we hold. Please feel free to reach out to me or any member of our board if you have any questions, or if you would like to participate! Anyone willing to get involved has a place!
