End of Summer Beach Bar-b-que and Bonfire

On September 14, 2019, SLO YMF hosted a beach day out at Olde Port Beach for YMF members as well as their family and friends!

Joint YMF Branch Orcutt Hill Hike

 On August 17, 2019, SLO YMF as well as the Santa Barbara-Ventura YMF spent one of the last weekends of summer hiking around and enjoying the sights from Orcutt Hill. Afterwards, both YMF's  got a bite to eat at one of Old Orcutt's newest restaurants.

Farmer's Market Booth for the California Infrastructure Report Card

On June 13, 2019, SLO YMF as well as the SLO ASCE Branch hosted a booth at the SLO Farmer's Market. SLO YMF and the Branch answered questions from the public about the new California Infrastructure Report Card and had informational material for anyone to take home and share!

2019 Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day

On March 16, 2019, SLO YMF hosted the 2nd annual "Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day." Girl scouts from elementary to high school age (from not only locally but up to a few hours away!) came to take part in some fun and educational activities and hear a panel discussion on what it's like to be a woman engineer and learn what engineering is all about!

Western Regional Younger Member Council 2019

On March 8th and 9th, 2019, some of SLO YMF's Board members attended the WRYMC conference in Honolulu, Hawaii. Attendees enjoyed technical and leadership sessions with other YMF member from the western region.

Farmer's Market Booth for 2019 Engineer's Week

On February, 21, 2019, SLO YMF as well as the SLO ASCE Branch hosted a booth at the SLO Farmer's Market for the 2019 Engineer's Week. SLO YMF and the Branch answered questions from the public about civil engineering and had a structural geodesic dome challenge for "future engineers"!

Righetti Ranch Development Tour

On January 25, 2019, SLO YMF toured the Righetti Ranch development project. The Righetti Ranch development project is a portion of the larger Orcutt Area Specific Plan that will develop a broad range of residential unit types as well as 14 acres of park and 77 acres of Open Space.
